Bio.

With several critical animation contributions for major film and television series to her credit, Rachelle Lambden has solidified her stature as a character animator amongst the very finest in the stop motion animation industry.  Her list of high profile credits include LAIKA’s Kubo and the Two Strings, The Boxtrolls, ParaNorman and Tim Burton’s Frankenweenie.  After specialized training in theatre acting and directing from a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree (BFA) Honours in Theatre at York University in Toronto Canada, plus a decade of dance training, she began her animation career with a solid background in performance.  Rachelle has worked professionally in stop motion animation since 2002, animating and eventually animation directing on a combined total of over ten different seasons of television series including Disney’s Jojo’s Circus and MTV2’s Celebrity Deathmatch.  Further works include various short films by the National Film Board of Canada, Paradise, A Sea Turtle Story and Canada’s first stop motion feature Edison and Leo.  Rachelle has a keen interest in documentary style filmmaking as a character study and continues to challenge the boundaries of performance in character animation, borrowing from realism to create a range of complex and emotional animated performances.
